William Bostwick

I'm the author of The Brewer's Tale: A History of the World According to Beer, published by W. W. Norton.

I'm also the beer critic for the Wall Street Journal, where I've written about George Washington's homebrew, what Catherine the Great and Evelyn Waugh had in common, and making new (and old) drinks from trees, pumpkins, apples, and even out of thin air.

I write for magazines like Bloomberg, GQ, Bon Appetit, and Garden and Gun. I've baked bread, butchered a pig, drank like a viking shaman, and raised bees.

I make things, I ride bikes, I like being outside.
